Navigating the realm of professional growth from a young age, I started my journey into the corporate world as a teenager working in the insurance industry. This initial phase allowed me to hone essential skills in organization, customer service, and document preparation. While simultaneously advancing my academic pursuits in Computer Aided Drafting and Design at the BC Institute of Technology, I began supervising teams, and mentoring junior representatives in the insurance sector.
Graduating with distinction from the Associate Certificate program at BCIT became the bedrock of my subsequent career transitions. Venturing into the design domain, I adeptly crafted detailed 2D and 3D designs, turning conceptual ideas into precise blueprints and comprehensive plans. This immersion culminated in a pivotal role as a CAD Technician, where my responsibilities expanded to include Records and Documents Management, further refining my expertise in organization and meticulous document handling.
After pausing to deeply embrace motherhood, I ventured into the multifaceted world of self-employment. This journey not only involved crafting persuasive proposals and improving my drafting & design skills, but also marked the genesis of my blog, "The Home Baked Vegan". Launching the blog was a testament to my passion for vegan cuisine and became a platform for creative expression. Utilizing tools like Adobe Lightroom enhanced my perspective on aesthetics, emphasizing the importance of the finer details in every digital and culinary creation.
In my current role as a Bids & Proposals Coordinator, I bring together my extensive background with a renewed enthusiasm for growth. Each proposal I craft not only taps into my varied experiences but also serves as a testament to my passion for innovative solutions. My active engagement in obtaining an SEO Specialization Certification from the University of California, Davis through Coursera underscores my dedication to lifelong learning and enhancing my expertise in the digital realm.
